Bars for Sea Cadet & Navy League Medals
Sea Cadet Service Medal – Additional Service Bars
Cadets who continue their service beyond the initial award may receive additional silver anchor bars:

5‑Year Bar: One silver anchor

6‑Year Bar: Two silver anchors
These bars are worn on the medal ribbon and reflected on the ribbon bar.
Navy League Long Service Medal – Additional Service Bars
The Navy League Long Service Medal uses the same bar system as the Sea Cadet Service Medal:

5‑Year Bar: One silver anchor

6‑Year Bar: Two silver anchors
Bars recognize continued qualifying service with the Navy League Cadet Corps.
Navy League Cadet Service Medal – Additional Service Bars

1st Bar: Awarded at 3 years of service

2nd Bar: Awarded at 4 years of service

3rd Bar: Awarded at 5 years of service

Further bars continue at one per year of additional qualifying service
Service bars are worn on both the medal ribbon and the ribbon bar, in accordance with Navy League Cadet Corps dress regulations.
Navy League Medal of Excellence – Achievement Bars
This medal uses distinct gold bars to denote national‑level achievement:

Sea Cadet of the Year Bar: Gold bar with one anchor

National Sea Cadet of the Year Bar: Gold bar with two anchors
These bars represent achievement, not service time.
