CAF 4‑Across Ribbon Bar Update

The Canadian Armed Forces have announced a new four‑ribbon‑across slide‑on ribbon bar system.
These updated bars are not yet available, as CAF has not released the final mounting specifications or hardware.
Once official specifications are published, Defence Medals Canada will begin production and make the new system available.

What Are Ribbon Bars (Undress Ribbons)?

Ribbon bars—also known as undress ribbons—are the simplified, everyday version of full‑size medals. They allow you to display your honours professionally when full medals are not required.

Commonly worn by:

• CAF members

• Veterans

• Police, Fire, EMS, and other First Responders

• Cadets during parades, reviews, and ceremonial events

Ordering Instructions (Important)

To ensure your ribbon bar is built correctly, purchasers must specify whether they require 3‑ribbon rows or 4‑ribbon rows in the order notes.

Default Assembly

Unless otherwise specified:

• Ultra‑thin ribbon bars will be combined into one integrated unit for a clean, professional finish.
