Ribbon, Army Cadet Medal of Merit

The Army Cadet Medal of Merit (ACMM) recognizes outstanding Army Cadets who exemplify the aims and values of the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Program through:

a. Consistent attendance and active participation in Army Cadet training;
b. Demonstrated community service and good citizenship;
c. Promotion of healthy living and mental and physical well-being;
d. A thorough understanding of Army Cadet training and skills;
e. Leadership;
f. High standards of dress and deportment; and
g. Effective communication.

The ribbon is composed of equal parts scarlet and rifle green. Scarlet has been used throughout British and Canadian history as the colour of the Canadian Army and serves as a unifying colour for Army Cadets. Rifle green represents the current Canadian Army and the Army Cadet uniform.
