a. Every subsequent period of ten years of qualifying service to the Exemplary Service Medals,

b. Subsequent award of the Medal of Bravery, and

c. Canadian Gulf War Medal- Those who served for one day or more in the theatre of operations during actual hostilities (16 January 1991 to 03 March 1991) are entitled to the bar.

This Gold bar is awarded for :

a. Subsequent award of the Medal of Military Valour, and

b. Subsequent award for qualify service to Royal Canadian Army Cadet Long Service Medal.
