Alberta Centennial 2005 Medal

The Alberta Centennial Medal is a commemorative medal celebrating Alberta’s first 100 years of confederation.

This medal is meant to pay tribute to Albertans whose achievements have benefited their fellow citizens, their community and their province.

The medal could be awarded to living men, women and youth who made significant contributions to their fellow citizens, their community and to Alberta, and were Canadian citizens that had resided in Alberta.

Approximately 8,000 medals were awarded to outstanding Albertans. Representatives from provincial organizations, governments and other groups were asked to make the nominations. Only nominations submitted by these nominating partners were accepted.

This full size reproduction medal comes loose and with 8 inches of quality ribbon (32mm wide).

The miniature size medal comes loose and with 5 inches of quality ribbon (16mm wide).
